Overview

A continuous 18-year arc of somatic retreat and workshop production across three organizations — beginning as National Women’s Coordinator and Assistant Facilitator at the Body Electric School in 2007, continuing as Co-Founder and Lead Facilitator at Body Trust Circle from 2014–2019, and ongoing as Co-Founder and Lead Facilitator at EroSomatic Arts Collective from 2021 to present. Across all three organizations Zed has designed, produced, and facilitated experiential somatic programming for adult learners — from weekend residential retreats to 2-hour online workshops — integrating movement, conscious touch, creative expression, ritual, and community practice into every format.

Residential & Weekend Retreats

Body Electric School — 2007–2013

Zed joined the Body Electric School in 2007 as National Women’s Coordinator and Assistant Facilitator, producing and co-facilitating weekend residential and non-residential retreats across multiple cities over six years. Programs produced include:

  • Celebrating the Body Erotic — weekend residential and non-residential retreats; Albany NY, New York NY, Albuquerque NM; multiple instances, 2007–2013. Managed all production logistics, participant intake, multi-channel marketing, and graphic design for print and digital promotion.

Co-developed curriculum from scratch as a new program within the Body Electric lineage. Program Development Excellence Award, Body Electric School, 2012.

Body Trust Circle — 2014–2019

In 2014 Zed co-founded Body Trust Circle, bringing the somatic retreat lineage from the Body Electric School into a new organizational home with expanded programming and a sustained year-round retreat calendar. Programs produced include:

  • Dedicated to the Body — weekend residential and non-residential retreats offered in three gender-specific formats (for Women, for Masculine Folks, and for Queers); Seattle WA and San Francisco CA; approximately 12 instances over 5 years, limited to 18 participants per retreat; 2014–2019.
  • Wheel of the Year — solstice and equinox non-residential weekend events marking seasonal transitions through somatic practice, ritual, and community gathering; Seattle WA, San Francisco CA, and virtual; 2015–2019.

Short-Form Workshops & Online Events

Body Trust Circle — 2014–2019

Alongside the residential retreat calendar, Body Trust Circle produced a sustained offering of shorter-format workshops and webinars — bringing somatic and embodiment frameworks to participants who were new to the work or unable to attend multi-day retreats.

  • Produced and facilitated 20+ in-person workshops in 2-hour and 4-hour formats across Seattle and San Francisco, 2014–2019 — Produced and facilitated 20+ online webinars across the same period
  • Three distinct workshop formats offered: for Women, for Masculine Folks, and for Queers
  • Managed all logistics, registration, marketing, and participant communications for every event
  • Analyzed attendance and participant feedback continuously for program improvement

EroSomatic Arts Collective — 2021–present

Following the dissolution of Body Trust Circle in 2019, Zed co-founded EroSomatic Arts Collective in 2021 — continuing and expanding the short-form workshop lineage into new formats and audiences.

  • Produces and facilitates ongoing 2-hour online events, 2021–present
  • Produced The Desire Body workshop twice in 2023; upcoming instance in 2026
